I'm Dani
One of the UK's few professional female leather workers with a responsibility to uphold the Heritage of Leatherworking; which goes back thousands of years!
Everything is traditionally handcrafted, products are customisable and nearly everything can be personalised. I am on a mission to provide high-quality Leather products that are practical, beautiful and most importantly - will last a lifetime.
I am a plastic-free business and work with as many small independent businesses as possible to responsibly source my materials.
Leather Gifts with a Twist
As a female leatherworker, with a unique perspective, I use traditional skills and a modern twist to bring to life your unique custom designs using true luxury leather.
Just because Leather is Practical, long-lasting, sustainable and better for the environment than other alternatives doesn't mean it can't be absolutely beautiful and any colour you can think of!
Leather is a natural product and all hides will vary slightly, with some small natural marks and scars.

Our commitment to sustainability is embedded in every piece we create. By selecting our leather goods, you champion a lifecycle where quality endures, and waste diminishes.
You are not only embracing the tradition and heritage of a timeless craft, but playing a pivotal role in propelling us towards a circular economy.
Why buy cheap, buy twice, when you can buy once from DD Practical.
Practical Dani
I am a self taught Leatherworker and Lighting & Sound Technician working in the Live Events and Theatre Industry. I am also a Virtual PA! You can find me in my Studio making Leather gifts, at my Mac helping other businesses with their admin or travelling the country to work a Musical or Conference or Awards Ceremony. Three VERY different careers but all something I am incredibly passionate about.
I am a BIG personality, SUPER-organised, and I am passionate about Stationery, Leather, Wood, Camping, LEGO, Chicken Nuggets, fancy coffee, Highland Cows, getting my nails done and having bright hair.
Practical Dave
I am the 'IT GUY', Sound Engineer in the Live Events and Theatre Industry and a HGV driver. I spend my time travelling for Industry work, driving round the country for various companies or sat on the sofa behind my laptop working on the IT stuff.
I am passionate about all things IT, fixing up vintage vehicles (we have a 1972 VW Bay Window Campervan currently in bits on the drive), Real Ale, Camping, LEGO (we have an entire shelf dedicated to Lego), Star Trek and anything Sci-Fi including all things Space! I love a curry and can often be found down the TikTok rabbit hole. I'm rather partial to puppy videos.
